Ooops we did it again!

Society has become desensitized and blind to our past mistakes due to the selfishness and self-centered mentality of people today, leading us to ignorantly make the same mistakes again. America has come through some of the most trying times and tremendous changes have been made in an effort to improve the lives of the inhabitants of this great nation. Unfortunately there seems to be a devastating pattern that we to fall prey to bringing the advancement of the people to a halt and causing mass confusion and separation. Once more we face the issue of equality but this time it's not dealing with skin color or ethnic origin, but rather the questioning of who is considered human. I've viewed numerous ads, pictures and other mediums used to either speak against or support abortion. However when I saw the visual I've based this analysis upon it gave me a new perspective of abortion and a greater passion to write about it, in protest.

This depiction is by far one of the most influential pieces of work created in contrast to abortion and deserves serious consideration. As stated previously America has, just recently, overcame one of the most controversial issues faced in this nation and it has become a staple in our history...slavery. Yet here we are again dealing with the issue of whom we consider to be fully human and while we're debating this in the courts, at board meetings, in the town halls and even within the walls of the White House children are being stripped of the very thing given to them by virtue which is life. This picture effectively and profoundly depicts the underlying correlation between the abortion of an unborn child and the killing of African American slaves. Consider the history of the slaves, they were forcefully brought to America by the decisions of others. And made to serve against their wills, being beaten and killed because of the misconception of who they were. Now we're faced with a similar issue of aborting unborn children who were brought into reality by the decision of others, yet they are destroyed because of the misconception of who they are...do you see the
pattern?

Aborting abortion

A person's right(s) end where another begins. This principle upon which our Constitution was built and formulated, was designed to protect the rights of all people. We understand that here are certain inalienable rights given to us by our Creator, however these rights are not guaranteed to be granted or protected by the laws of man. Because of this, controversy arises, as well as a chance to come together and reason with one another. The issue of abortion extends beyond a woman's right to do with her body as she pleases, and reaches into the realm of denying the very gift given to mankind...life.

As a pro life advocate I believe that under no circumstances should a child be aborted. And that abortion only serves to rob this world of a potentially great individual, and their impact in the world. Every child, despite the conditions in which they come into this world, is a gift from God. Their lives and contributions have been predestined and ordained by Him. Imagine what our world would be like today if some of the greatest people in history were aborted. Thomas Edison, invented the light bulb; Alexander Fleming (and Jonas Salk), discovered penicillin and Martin Luther King, who fought for equality. Their accomplishments are not only world known but were life changing for generations to come. If they had been aborted, and consider yourself as well, there would be such a tremendous void in this world. Give the same opportunity and right that you enjoy today...life.

In understanding our responsibility to preserve life, we become better equipped to choose wisely and in a manner that is not detrimental but beneficial to mankind. This blog is set up so that I may hear your opinion on this issue. Feel free to speak candidly but please be respectful to others.
